This Eager-PackŪ Assembly (Explosively Actuated Gas Energy Release) is used to pressurize the wing deployment system on the Improved Tactical Airlaunch Decoy (ITALD).

Upon initiation, a small piercing ram is driven forward puncturing the gas bottle diaphragm. The pressurized gas within the hermetically sealed bottle is released to deploy the wings.

This device is fully qualified and is one of the many high-reliability stored gas products manufactured by Conax. Other applications include fuel tank pressurization, marine floatation systems, missile fin actuation, etc.
