Joule Thomson Infrared missile seekers require ultra pure gas to ensure fast and reliable operation. Conax Florida Corporation specializes in the design and production of specialized high pressure gas vessels with integral pyrovalves to satisfy such demanding requirements.

The featured "on board" gas vessel, in production on the Javelin missile, is an excellent example of valve miniaturization and space and weight efficiency.

High pressure argon is stored within the circular titanium tube. Upon initiation of valve firing current, an externally fed gas supply is shut off by an internal ram while simultaneously releasing the stored gas within the tube.

As with all Conax gas vessels, each manufactured lot is carefully acceptance tested for gas purity in our "in-house" gas analysis lab.
