The pictured Dual Gas Vessel is one of many stored gas bottle products designed by Conax Florida Corporation to deliver ultra pure gasses for Joule Thomson cryogenic systems.

This Dual Gas Vessel is fully qualified on the "Theater High Altitude Area Defense" (THAAD) missile and is uniquely comprised of two independent gas chambers with explosive valves. Upon initiation of each explosive valve, which are integrated into the base of the assembly, ultra pure nitrogen and krypton gases are simultaneously delivered to the cryostat via independent gas circuits. The net result is quick "cool down" of the missile's infrared seeker prior to, or during flight.

For periodic inspection and test of the missile's seeker, this unique assembly is equipped with a gas test port. This port permits the passage of laboratory test gas through the valve manifold prior to actuation.
