CARTRIDGE ACTUATED CUTTER (CAC)
This critical life saving device is designed to provide an air passage for an incapacitated or injured crew member who resurfaces after being submerged in water. The assembly is a self-contained unit requiring no scheduled or preventative maintenance.
- Device circuitry is completely inactive prior to immersion.
- Device will operate to cut/puncture the oxygen hose within five (5) seconds after removal from water.
- Arms after submerging; fires after clearing the water.
- Prevents water inhalation.
- Used on chemical and biological defense hood and mask systems.
- Unique and simple design allows in - line installation.
- Indicator flag to show that the unit has been activated.
